“Before approaching Alana I watched her working with a couple of other clients on The Terrace and could see that she was explaining the science behind the activity. This gave me confidence. As a late 50’s consultant running my own desk based business, my gym work and use of a personal trainer are driven by three things: To be fit enough to manage the physical nature of farming interests, keep up wtih 3 small children (and 2 grown up ones - poor family planning) and to I drive classic rally cars a few times a year. Our most important event is the Otago Rally, which I competed in for the first time in 1978. This year it was 800km in a hot noisy old Datsun over two days. While it is always hard to explain the fitness requirements of motorsport, I am quite certain that I couldn’t physically complete the event without at least the amount of training I did this year.
